Mommy, I colored on my face
Wheeler Farm - September 29, 2008
Here the kids were so excited to see the chickens. Again, it was much better to see them when there was a wire barrier between them. Aniston is in the brown shirt and if you can believe it, is 8 and 9 months older than the kids on either side of her.
Fearing that the loose chicken would attack her, Aniston quickly attached herself to my leg.
Aniston and little Beau checking out the stinky pigs.
Aniston will be three in February and Beau will be two in November. It is amazing to me how little our little Aniston really is.

This is my joy!
Life is great
September 2008 - Aniston is an amazing baker! She loves to help mommy cook and does a great job adding and mixing the ingredients.
Yup, it's good!
September 13, 2008 - Aniston loves to play "make-ups" with mommy.
September 2008 - This is what I love about Saturday mornings!

You're beautiful!
After - September 12, 2008.
Well, you would look like this too if you had been sedated for two hours and had dental work done on 50% of your teeth.
Our little Aniston had 10 of her 20 teeth fixed. Although we brush religiously each night, I am afraid our apple juice addiction of months before may have been too much for her teeth to handle. Aniston has NEVER liked milk. After she finished nursing at about 13 months she refused to take regular milk. For fear of dehydration we turned to apple juice, which definately kept her hydrated. For all of you who think that watering it down will keep the sugar bugs at bay, let me tell you...it does not. We kept saying that all the apple juice she was drinking was going to rot her teeth and guess what...it did. Other than the apple juice, which I know is enough to destroy little teeth, Aniston really didn't have much sugar in her diet. We do not keep sweets in our home and she loves healthy food. Seriously, I'm not just saying that. Needless to say, a visit to the dentist was inevitable.
We got to the dentist's at 6:15 am on Friday, September 12, 2008 and Aniston got her shot at 6:30 am. I would say she was gone within two or three minutes. The anesthetist failed to tell me that her eyes would not close when she "fell asleep". It was a very unnerving site to see my little bug in my arms with her eyes wide open, but nothing behind them. It was like she was just "there." Anyhow, they took her back, taped her eyes shut, put in her iv and went to work. They had some trouble getting the fillings on the front teeth because her poor little gums wouldn't stop bleeding. They finished up around 8:30/9:00. After they had finished working on her teeth she was moved to a recovery room for her to be monitored and to wake up. I guess, normally, it takes kids about 20 minutes to wake up, but Aniston was not budging. I sat next to her, carefully watching the monitor as she slept and slept. Her heart rate was around 103 bpm for 25 minutes or so and then it started to drop. I'm sure for anyone in the medical profession these numbers are not any cause for concern, but for a mom they are. The bpm began to drop to around 88 or so before I rushed to get the nurse. I was nervous, but the nurse wasn't. She changed Aniston's position and her bpm jumped right back up. It was only a couple of minutes after that that she began to stir and "wake-up". The term "wake-up" is used very lightly because she was far from awake. When I finally was able to take her home she had very little control over her head and was incredibly loopy.
As soon as we got home we gave Aniston some Tylenol and started our "movie fest." After an hour or so she began to get splotches all over her face and started a fever. It was at this point that I called the dentist to make sure that this was all normal. Aniston progressively got better as the day went on and by Saturday, she was completely back to her normal self.
The pictures below were taken when her face and lips were quite swollen and the splotches were starting all over her face. You hate to see your children in pain and wish you could change places with them. She really did great and was such a trooper!
Life is good
Grandma Eileen came to help out because I have yet to grow an additional pair of arms. Some of the after effects of the anethesia were not only a little Aniston that wanted nothing more than to be held, but also an incredibly wobbly two-year old. Whenever Aniston tried to walk on her own for the first couple of hours after returning home, she inevitably ended up on the ground. It was so sad to see her in this state. Tylar, however, was thoroughly enjoying the fun balloons Grandma brought.
September 8, 2009 - Aniston and Tylar were getting ready to head out to run some "Aaron's" with me. We have gone to Aaron (Austin's brother) and Savanna's house only a couple of times with Aniston, but each time we go she loves to check out their awesome fish tank. For a time whenever I would say we needed to run errands she would get a little excited because she thought we are going to see the fish at Aaron's house. Errands/Aarons...I can see the confusion.
Fun times in Logan
Tylar had a great time in Logan. She did much better this time than she did on her first trip up there. I went up with Dad when Tylar was only three weeks old. I don't really know what I was thinking, other than the fact that I had to get out of the house. Austin was gone on a business trip, so I thought rather than staying home by myself, I would take the girls up with Grandpa Craig and visit everyone in Logan. Needless to say, I got very little sleep and Tylar cried more in those twenty four hours than I though possible. This trip, however, was a lot of fun and very relaxing.
Austin absolutely loves his girls!
Aniston and Great Grandma Lois were having a great time together. Aniston's game of "Open the egg and scare Grandma" was a huge hit. Aniston put a little toy in the egg and then would open to scare Grandma....pure fun! We were all laughing so hard and got some great pictures of this fun memory.
The girls had a great time in Logan....see.
Fall has finally come and I couldn't be happier. Aniston and Daddy spent some time in the back yard catching rain.
