TYLAR GRACE SORENSEN
Born May 20, 2008 at 1:01 pm
7 lbs. 2 oz, 19.5 inches long

We are so excited to have little Tylar join our family. Because she was breech we had an option of trying to turn her in hopes of a regular delivery. However, after praying about it and having an ultrasound, we didn't feel comfortable in trying to turn her. I am so grateful for the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost. When the doctor finally got Tylar out, we found that the cord was wrapped twice around her neck. She was just fine, but had we tried to turn her I don't know what would have happened.

Additionally, this morning Tylar had a fever of around 101 and has been given several tests and antibiotics in case of infection. The initial test came back normal and it looks like she may just have had a fever because she was wrapped up too tight. Last night was a little rough. She would only sleep for about 30 minute intervals and then cry the rest of the time. The nurse thought that she was probably experiencing gas pains and felt that wrapping her up tight in warm blankets would help relieve the pressure on her tummy. Now she is doing great and finally sleeping! Seriously, it is such a blessing to have these two little girls from our Heavenly Father. We are so blessed!

May 20, 2008 - Mommy and Tylar cuddling.
May 20, 2008 - Aniston has been so great with her new little sister. She loves getting up close and checking out all of her cuteness!

May 20, 2008, 1:01 pm -She's here! Tylar Grace Sorensen arrived via c-section weighing 7 lbs 2 ounces and 19.5 inces long.
May 20, 2008 - Doctor Austin, a.k.a. "Marshmallow man"

May 20, 2008 - Here I am in the middle of a contraction....yeah! Our little bug was determined to have her birthday on the 20th. I started having contractions at about 7:00 am Tuesday morning and we were scheduled to have a c-section at 12:00 pm. Before we went in for the c-section, the contractions were about 3 1/2 minutes apart and were pretty intense. Although they were painful, I was happy in a way that I got to experience the "surprise" of when labor would begin.

May 20, 2008 - This is our "before" family picture. We dropped Aniston off at my parents before we went to the hospital to have our little bug. I was a bit anxious about leaving Aniston for three days, but she had no problem with it. As we were saying goodbye, she said, "Bye Mommy. Bye Daddy" and shut the front door.
May 19, 2008 - The "soccer ball jammies" are a HUGE hit! Aniston did not want to take her new Brazil Soccer uniform off under any circumstance. I was, however, able to get them off of her long enough to wash them. Every 15 to 20 minutes while they were being washed she asked for a "soccer ball jammies" update. As soon as they were clean, off came the real clothes and on came the soccer ball jammies once again.

May 19, 2008 - Aniston is really good about sleeping in her own bed, but occasionally she will climb into bed with us in the morning. It is amazing how much space a little body can take up on a bed...especially when she is laying horizontal.

May 18, 2008 - GO BRAZIL! A huge thanks to awesome Uncle Cade for these amazing "soccer ball jammies"! Uncle Cade recently got back from a trip to Brazil and brought these authentic Brazilian soccer uniforms back for Aniston and Ethan. As you can see, they both loved them! In fact, Aniston decided that her's were "soccer ball jammies" and refused to put on any other jammies to go to bed....these work just fine.

Maybe Aniston has a future in soccer.

May 10, 2008 - Aniston and Daddy are sporting their awesome "gwackes"

May 5, 2008 - Happy Birthday Baby Jade! Aaron and Savanna welcomed their little girl Jade on Cinco De Mayo. I was really excited to have Aniston go to the hospital and see the new baby. In addition to seeing her newest cousing, we were excited to see how she would react to mommy and dady holding a new little person. Aniston wasn't so sure about her new baby cousin, but was fascinated with her "purple toes."
April 28, 2008 - Ansiton really loves beans! Even more than eating them, she loves playing with them. She has really gotten into playing with her food and here you can see that the beans are "swimming".
April 24, 2008 - Aniston was so proud of herself.... She wanted to help Shelby learn the alphabet, so she put all of Grandma and Grandpa's letter magnets into Shelby's water dish. Good work!
