June 30, 2012 - We're growing all sorts of things!

June 30, 2012 - We're growing all sorts of things...

This year I really wanted to plant my very first garden. My little garden almost didn't come to pass due to the fact that I was sicker than I thought imaginable! I get a great deal of comfort from being sick while pregnant....it makes me feel like everything is going just as it should. I must say, I spent two+ months being unbelievably comforted! We are thrilled to be growing another little bug and are so excited to welcome our FOURTH little one come Thanksgiving. The actual due date is November 26, 2012, but I wouldn't be surprised to deliver a little turkey on Thanksgiving! As of today, I am 19 weeks. I have felt HUGE, but looking at this picture I look like I am right on track. I have been almost this big since conception....seriously! I think the baby is starting to fill out the roomy space I've created for him/her. We are not going to find out if our girls are getting a brother or sister this time and I am so excited about it. I NEVER thought I would want to wait to find out, but when I brought it up with Austin and he was on board it made not finding out that much more exciting!

In addition to growing a baby, we are also growing a variety of vegetables. Thanks to Grandpa Craig, who put together the box and delivered a truck full of wonderful dirt, I planted my Mother's Day seeds of watermelons, tomatoes, carrots, peppers, peas, radishes, zuccini, cucumber, and pumpkins. I love going out each day to water my little plants. I LOVE IT! I'm certainly not doing this to sustain our family, but it has been so fun to watch our little seeds grow!
This morning I noticed that a couple of our radishes were ripe for the pickin'.  We had to wait for Tylar to wake up because I knew she would be bummed if we had this monumental moment without her.
And here they are...our very first radishes!

Aniston thought they looked like swords.
Tylar thought that radishes were supposed to be purple, but was still pleased with what we got.
Siri LOVES being outside!

I can't believe Siri is 18 months old!  Seriously....this is crazy!  I just love these girls!

June 5, 2012 - Tylar's first day of tumbling

June 5, 2012
Tylar had her first day of tumbling and did WONDERFUL!  Parents aren't allowed in to watch, but you can stand outside to look through the window.  I didn't want to distract her, so periodically throughout the hour I would peek in and she was doing fantastic!  She was holding her splits forever and staying up in her arch-ups like a champion!  We are all so excited for her!  Unfortunatley, yesterday was supposed to be her second day at tumbling, but she spent the morning throwing up.  We are looking forward to next Tuesday for more tumbling!

Aniston also started her 3rd year in tumbling , now as a member of Team Glitter.  All the teams over kindergarten level have special names...Diamond, Shine, Shimmer...you get the idea.  Although it is always a little nerve-wracking to start a new class, Aniston also did great and is looking forward to another year of tumbling!  Wherever we go, Aniston can't walk continuously without throwing in a cartwheel, round-off, front walk-over, etc.  She loves it and I suspect Tylar will love it just as much!

Tylar and her friend Paige swimming in the backyard.  Welcome summer!  We have been looking for you!

May 27, 2012 - Austin is 30!

May 27, 2012
My handsome, wonderful husband is officially old!  Not really.  Thirty doesn't seem old once you get there.  I'm wondering if that is how life is.  One day Austin and I will be sitting in our rocking chairs, just having celebrated our 90th birthdays and say, "90 really doesn't seem so old now that we are here."  Well, maybe by 90 it will seem old.

Anyhow, Aussie turned 30!  Again, we had another birthday fall on a Sunday this year so birthday festivities started early and were a bit rushed.  Austin had an early morning meeting, so we didn't have too much time to open gifts and eat his birthday breakfast.
Siri wasn't quite awake yet to celebrate Daddy's  birthday.
Here he is...a 30 year-old man!  So handsome!

Here are the very specific golf balls that Austin likes.  Pro-V ones in the orange box, with the thick arrow, and high numbers in the corner.  I have no idea what that indicates other than the fact that he likes them.
I felt like a rock-star wife.  When I went to Uintah golf Austin had told me before hand to ask for Brian or Steve to help me look for the right golf balls for him.  First off, I began to wonder how often he was at Uintah golf to have the staff know him by name.  Granted, we went to school with Steve, so that is understandable.  Anyhow, once I got there, Uintah golf Brian was there to help me out.  Normally, I would never consider getting Austin a club of any kind because, obviously, clubs are very specifc to their owners.  I asked Uintah Golf Brian if there was anything specific in the store that I could get Austin for his 30th birthday.  He told me that Austin had been in trying out a wedge and that he had ordered one in for him.  SCORE!  SOLD!

How awesome would it be for me to get him a club (or in this case a wedge) that he would actually use?!?  I was ecstatic!  I was so excited for him to open it and LOVE it and be able to use it!  Well, Austin was pleased, but it wasn't the right wedge.  He was being so sweet, telling me that Uintah golf Brian should know that he doesn't use a 60 degree wedge, but rather a 57 or 53 degree (I don't remember which.....which is why I don't usually try to purchase things like this).  Oh well, it is the thought that counts.  As we were cleaning things up a business card fell out from Uintah golf Brian that said, "Your 57 (or 53) is on it's way.  Happy Birthday!"  Uintah golf Brian knew I was taking home the wrong wedge, but didn't even tell me...thanks a lot.
It is crazy to think that Austin and I have known each other and been friends for over 17 years.  That's crazy!  I love my Aussie and what a wonderful husband, daddy, and friend he is!  I am so blessed to have him.  I had always wanted to marry Austin, and I still am so incredibly grateful and blessed that I was the one who got him forever!
