Bathtime

Let's go swimming!

November 8, 2008 - Swiming in November? Yep. It was gorgeous weather and Aniston, Daddy, and Aunt Kylee enjoyed some time in the pool. Aniston didn't want to leave even though her little fingers looked liked raisins. In every prayer over the past two days we have thanked Heavenly Father for being able to "Go swimming in St. George."

I did it! 13.1 MILES

November 8, 2008 - I finished the Snow Canyon Half Marathon in St. George and am quite proud of myself. I don't say that to be prideful, but I am excited that I trained for it and finished in 2 hours 8 minutes. Grandpa Clair, Grandma Annie, Aunt Kylee, Aaron, Savanna, Jade and our family had a fun time together. Jen and Jeremy weren't able to come down and we were sad they couldn't join us. Uncle Aaron ran the half as well and did a great job! It was so great to have our family support us and cheer us on as we finished. Thanks everyone!

Even Tylar got into the action. "Let's get physical, physical."

Happy "Stinkin'" Halloween!

Here are our two stinking cute skunks for Halloween! We had such a fun day from start to finish!

Grandma and Grandpa Sorenson joined us for trick-or-treating and we are so glad they did. Below Grandpa Craig and Aniston were going through the goods. Honestly, we thought Aniston would be done with trick-or-treating in about twenty minutes, but we were out for at least double that. It really was so fun to watch Aniston enjoying this crazy holiday.

Aunt Dani, aka Little Red Riding Hood, joined us for the festivities. Grandma Annie, Grandpa Clair, Aunt Kylee, and little cousin Jade stopped in to join in in the festivities. Jade is only two weeks older than Tylar, but she is rolling over...all over the place, sitting up, feeding herself, and I think we even saw her finishing up her parent's taxes for the year. Seriously, she is a super advanced/super smiley baby.
Below is our littlest skunk.

Tylar joined us for the entire trick-or-treating adventure and did awesome. She wore her hat the whole time and didn't make a peep. Like her sister, she too enjoyed being outside, going from house to house.
Aniston showing off the fruits of her labors.
One Skunk, Two Skunk
Although I was very tempted to reuse Aniston's costumes from previous years, I decided to bite the bullet and make these little skunk costumes for the girls. Our little skunks looked so dang cute! Aniston was so excited that Tylar was going to be a "stunk, just like me!"
"Pee-yew" Stinky skunk!

One of our Halloween traditions is our Halloween dinner party....chili, cornbread, apple crisp, and of course, witches brew! The witches brew is for Austin more than anyone...he loves it! I always seem to be running around from store to store trying to find dry ice, but know it is well worth it to see the joy the witches brew brings to Austin.

The Halloween Fairy, aka Grandma and Grandpa Sorenson, brought some fun Halloween surprises for Aniston and Tylar...Animal crackers, a Dora phone, and Dora stickers. When Alli was here to visit she had a Dora phone and I believe the Halloween Fairy took note of Aniston's love for the beloved Dora Phone.
Aniston and Grandpa Craig lit our Jack-o-lantern with the help of the Dora phone.

Our Joy School Halloween Parade/Party - October 30, 3008

October 30, 2008 - We had an aMaZiNg Halloween Party/Parade with our Joy School friends. Not only did the kids have a costume "parade," but they also performed three songs for our guests..."I've got Joy," "Big round pumpkin," and "The mean old witch." They did a wonderful job!

Silly Party - October 25, 2008

October 25, 2008 - Every year Great Grandma and Grandpa Collard have a silly party for Halloween. Grandma and Grandpa set up dinner with crazy plates, cups, and utensils. Although Aniston and Tylar were sick, we made our way up to Bountiful to show off our little skunks.
