November 11, 2010 - Zoo with Daddy!

November 11, 2010 - Austin has worked for a bank our entire married life. How is it possible that I was taken by surprise to find out that all banks have Veteran's Day off? And in no way do I mean this disrespectfully, but I swear I don't ever remember celebrating or remembering Veteran's Day.....ever. Is this a new holiday? I know it's not, but I dare say that pregnancy brain is affecting my memory. I am incredibly grateful for the sacrifice for the men and women that serve this country and am grateful that we have a day to honor them. New holiday or not, , we got to have Daddy home for an entire day and we loved it! We went up to the zoo in near freezing weather and had a fantastic time. There were literally dozens of people there...maybe two dozen. I love it when there is no one there. Also, when it is cold, all of the animals are so much more active. We had a great time!

Admiring the Christmas lights.....only a couple of more days until we are putting up our Christmas tree. I'm really excited for the Christmas season, why wait?

Daddy and his girls....LOVE!
Tylar was getting upset at the cheetah because it wouldn't stay still. She kept running after it saying, "Buddy, hey buddy!"

Of course we had to stop to have our moment with the tiger statues.....they (the tigers) were freezing!

I hardly ever take pictures of animals, but I had never seen the tigers this active before.
This one almost jumped in the water...it was super fun to watch!

October 30, 2010 - Happy Halloween!

October 30, 2010 - Happy Halloween! We were all excited to do our part to get the house ready for Halloween. Aniston made the spiders.... Tylar held the ladder....
And Daddy made the GIANT spider web!

During the morning our ward held a trunk-or-treat. Aniston and Austin went, but came home a little early because there were just too many people for our little giraffe. I wasn't planning on going (I had surgery dialating the opening of my trachea 3 days earlier), but as soon as Tylar was having a full-blown tantrum, it was confirmed that I was staying home. This 2 year-old of ours is so strongwilled! Needless to say, it was a very good teaching/learning opportunity for us both. She learned that there are consequences to her behavior and maybe next year she will be able to go to the party :)
We had the whole Sorenson crew (minus Uncle Tim in Peru) over for our traditional Halloween chili dinner and trick-or-treating. It was pretty cold/windy/rainy, but everyone had a great time!

Witches brew is pretty spooky!
The girls (especially Alli dog) were loving the witches brew!
Our cute little giraffe.
Nothing says Halloween more than a Butterfly, Dog, Giraffe, and Tiger. BEFORE trick-or-treating.
AFTER!
Our little butterfly LOVED trick-or-treating!

Grandpa Craig and Austin were such great sports to brave the cold with these girls. Kennedy was first to come home, then Aniston. Tylar and Alli were in it for the long haul....especially Alli. Although I wasn't there, it sounds like she has Tim's trick-or-treating drive....she did not want to stop!

October 23, 2010 - USU Homecoming

October 16, 2010 - Family Date Night

October 16, 2010 - We had a great time at a new park find! This slide was STRAIGHT DOWN, but after a couple of tries on her tummy she mustered up the courage to go down. I would be willing to bet that a mother did not create this monster of a slide...
I was able to go with Dani when she got her bridals done. She is incredibly photogenic and the entire shoot was so fun to watch! Toward the end, the photographer had my sister take her hair down and make a smoldering/messy hair look. This was my "smoldering" pose. I guess it doesn't have the same effect....at all!
